General installation manual
1. Before installation
- Check the reference, dimensions, finish, opening direction and accessories against the order confirmation.
- Inspect the panel and packaging before machining. If possible transport damage exists, document it before proceeding.
- Store the panel protected from knocks, damp, dirt and deformation until it is fitted.
- Do not carry out drilling, milling or unplanned modifications without confirming their compatibility with the product.
2. Fitting the panel
- Use suitable plastic setting blocks.
- Ensure effective drainage in the bottom profile to prevent water accumulation.
- Shim diagonally: bottom support on the hinge side and top support on the lock side.
- Check that the panel is correctly supported and that the assembly opens, closes and locks without abnormal strain.
3. Specific considerations for Magnetude®
Magnetude® uses an outer panel held in place magnetically, which must be able to expand independently. No fixings that transversally join elements in a way that cancels out this freedom of movement should be introduced.
- Frager's accessory documentation expressly warns that the transversal fitting of handles on a Magnetude® panel impairs the anti-expansion system and may invalidate the warranty relating to expansion.
- Where possible, handles must be fitted according to the system specified by Frager, avoiding unauthorised mechanical connections between the outer and inner panels.
- The outer panel can be fitted at the end of the works, reducing the risk of damage during subsequent work.
4. Glazing and components
The type of glass and its fitting depend on the model. In Magnetude® systems, certain elements, including the glazing, may be individually replaceable. Do not remove or replace components without following the model's specific data sheet.
5. Completing the installation
- Remove temporary protections as indicated for the finish, without using blades on the surface.
- Check the drains and confirm no water is retained.
- Verify the closing, alignment and operation of the fittings.
- Clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth or sponge; do not use abrasive or caustic products.
- Hand the maintenance and warranty instructions to the user.
