Magnetude®, our unique patented door system
The patented innovation that solves the most common problem in the industry
Magnetude® is Frager's patented magnetic fixing system that represents a major advance in door design and engineering. This innovative technology eliminates one of the most persistent problems in the door installation industry: thermal expansion and deformation of glued doors caused by temperature fluctuations.
Traditional or with Magnetude® hidden leaf
A door panel can be fitted with visible profiles or with a hidden leaf system.
The hidden leaf option has grown increasingly popular in recent years, giving the door a wider, more refined appearance. This system also offers undeniable advantages in terms of thermal insulation.
Magnetism
Harinck draws on its many years of experience as a pioneer in developing a hidden leaf system based on magnetism. This unique, patented system offers many advantages over traditional glued panels.
Compatible with all common PVC and aluminium systems. Can also be applied on both faces.
Advantages
No deformation A glued panel can cause flexion. The outer sheet expands, deforming the leaf. The Magnetude® system allows the outer sheet to expand independently of the profile. The effectiveness of this system has been proven in daily use and in tests conducted at an external surface temperature of 90°C. Impressive!
Scratches and dents? No problem! Front doors are damaged all too often between completion and handover of a project. This typically means replacing the entrance door entirely. The Magnetude® system offers the advantage that the infill panel can be used as a temporary panel during construction. The front sheet can be fitted easily at the end of the project by just one person and without any tools. Even if damage occurs later, all components — including the glass — can be replaced easily at any time.
Door installation Unlike a glued panel, Magnetude® is perfectly fitted. Installation is straightforward: the front plate is placed after the infill panel has been installed. With a door already in place, adjustment can be carried out in a very simple manner.
Invisible handle fitting Handles are fitted invisibly as they are fixed solely to the inside of the front plate. This means no nuts are visible on the interior of the door. Fitting handles in this way also eliminates any connection between the front and rear plates, preventing condensation inside the unit and, above all, deformation of the door.
Thermal insulation A Magnetude® panel insulates significantly better than a traditional one. With Magnetude®, a door can achieve a U-value well below 1.0 W/m²K. Thermal insulation is primarily determined by the thickness of the sandwich panel. We recommend choosing a thick infill panel in combination with a narrow rebate.
Acoustic insulation Magnetude® features an air cavity between the outer sheet and the panel. This cavity can be filled with sound-absorbing mats (Acoutex). This is an ecological and reusable product made from recycled cotton. The mats are supplied separately and can be placed between the sandwich panel and the outer sheet. Acoutex absorbs ambient noise and therefore reduces the nuisance caused by external noise.
Burglary resistance Even if intruders manage to remove the 2.5mm outer plate, they will still be confronted with an infill panel that is firmly fixed to the rebate. At that point, the door offers the same resistance as a classic door with an integrated panel.
Traditional door vs Magnetude®
To enhance the aesthetic appearance of its panels, Frager offers its Magnetude® hidden leaf system. The result is remarkable.
The door gives the impression of being wider, more refined and therefore more aesthetically striking. In addition, this system not only offers a definitive advantage in terms of aesthetics, but also improves thermal insulation. The U-value is 0.64 W/m²K (for a door without glazing and with a 36mm sandwich panel).
